Overview
Boy did that game have me worried. The Wings looked so shaky to start that game off, not logging a shot on goal until late in the first. But what do you know, when the Wings actually shot the puck on net, good things happened! Mo ripped a bomb from the point, and what do you know, he got another one on the season. The second period was still a mess, giving one up, and not putting one on the board the whole period. But just like the other night, the Wings decide that late in the third would be the perfect time to actually play hockey. And what do you know, they actually scored three goals that period! They need to cut this shit out, where they don’t play the first half off the game, and then scramble to recover in the third. It may work against these shit teams, but top tier teams will shut them out. Getting outshot 21-29 will not get it done, but they get by this time.
Man are our picks smoking hot though. This is now 5 weeks in a row that we have hit on our bets, bringing us to a healthy number overall. Unfortunately the Isles killed any hopes of a Lyon shutout with a quick one in the first. While Tarasenko was +1 on the night, he never really had any looks to get the puck on net, logging a disappointing 0 shots on goal. Larkin was definitely our saving grace, getting 4 shots on goal, and clearing his total of 2.5. His goal ended up being the one that tied the game, which ultimately led us to securing the last leg of the parlay with a Wings win. While I was drunk at the Bolts game, I also dabbled in a little bit of their live moneyline while they were down, so that made the night even better. Hopefully we can keep the flame hot as we meet up against the red hot Flames tonight.

Prediction
The Flames are a formidable opponent, sitting in second place in a tough Pacific Division. Since they’re on the other side of the country, I don’t get to watch them much to figure out how they play. I do know that Dustin Wolf has been elite for them in net, accumulating an 8-3-1 record. If he is starting then this will be a tough matchup for the Wings. The Wings are now 0/7 in their last 7 powerplays, which is a little disheartening, considering that has been their only bright spot as a squad. But while that has gotten worse, they have been able to finally put some pucks in the net while on even strength. However, I would love to see them start thriving in both categories because an even balance of the two is the key to success on offense. Our goalies have begun to pick it up too, so I am not counting the Wings out of this one. I guess we’ll have to see tonight if they are able to truly take that next step towards success.
The picks portion of this is going to be quite short as I have zero clue on how this game will go. Usually I have a rough idea but were just going to swing for the fences tonight since we got some extra units to play with. The first pick is going to be Ras to get a tuck. He’s been playing solid actually as of late and has had a ton of chances to put one away, so in a whacky night like tonight, why not him. The other one I am going to go with is the Red Wings to win in regulation. I got a weird feeling that the Wings will actually compete with the Flames, despite their massive difference in points, so I guess we’ll find out.
